Jimjam1973
Hi , brewed the kit larger , bottled and primed with 1.5 carbonation drops (500 ml bottles) , a week after doing and storing in warming place , chilled and opened to try, there was a little bit of fizz but no head , tasted and was nice, what have I done wrong or do I need to leave ? Brownsworthy
Hi Jim Should be left for at least 2 weeks before tasting Cheers mate
Hairy
Yep, generally at least 2 weeks before it has a decent carbonation. And then it takes another week or two to get a good, long-lasting carbonation. The problem with the head could be from a lack of carbonation, the recipe formulation or a dirty, greasy glass. If you don't have any head once it has carbonated then let us know what your recipe was and we can give some pointers to help in future.

LeonardC2
The head is initially formed by dissolved proteins in the beer, but driven by carbonation once poured. And 3-4 weeks carbing & conditioning at 70F or so will do nicely for average gravity brews. Try it in a couple weeks & then see how it pours...
