AdamH1525226084
Hi crew. I haven't been trawling the forum much lately, been super busy at work [lol] I am going to brew my 4th all-grain beer on the weekend, possibly an Australian Bitter Ale. Recipe is below. I bottled all grain "Poita Porta" on the weekend and it tasted awesome. Am hoping for big things from it. Also tried my "Choice Brew Pilsner" (Bohemian pilsner with Motueka instead of Saaz). It's pretty good but not bitter enough for some reason. Anyway, this is the Australian Bitter Ale I am going to attempt.... Milawa Bitter 2.00 kg Export Pilsner (66.7 %) 0.25 kg Crystal, Dark (8.3 %) 0.75 kg Table Sugar (25.0 %) 25.00 g PoR 9.00% 60.0 min (might up it on the day cos I'm not getting the amount of bitterness I've been expecting in any of my beers - anybody else experience this with no-chill?) 1.0 pkg S-04 Made to 19L Basing this from the AABC guidelines - "Substantial proportion of cane sugar, typically around 30%, for light body and signature fermentation profile." Will ferment at 17 degrees C
Beerlust
Hi AdamH. For what you are trying to brew, it looks fine to me. Your bitterness level from the PoR seems fine @ approx. 25 IBU too. Xmas at your house this year? and you have to brew something for Grandpa & the uncles to drink? [tongue] Hehe! [biggrin] Cheers & good luck with the brew. Anthony. Lotm
Really interested in how this turns out. My old man wants me to make something similar.
