Scottie
For me anyway. Just tapped my Hop Burglar this week, first glass a few days ago had a harsh bitterness and I thought I had another tipper. But now it is a bit smoother. First time using these hops, first impression was a Cascade type aroma however the taste is tending towards grapefruit. Maybe that I have overdone the hops on this first use. Hairy
Scottie, where have you been? It looks like a nice beer. What are the IBUs? The bitterness may have stood out more because of the lowish OG/FG. The hops will settle down with time and it should come good.
Scottie
Hey Hairy I've been pretty busy lately. 41 IBUs pushed it a bit and the 1056 finished lower than expected as well. Next one, B52 Hop Bomb partial mash will be interesting.
Scottie
So it's not that its overly bitter just that it lacks the level of "skunk" of my normal Pale Ales.
