BrewingBenny
My LHBS today gave me a 100gm sample of cascade hops flowers. The company will be launching commercially next year (lucky me [biggrin] [biggrin] ). My Question is, I made a 21Ltr coopers Pale Ale and added half the batch of hops flowers in the FV with 3 ltrs of boiled water and let them soak for 5min then added brew blend and of course the can, are the flowers as strong as the pellets and if not is there a rough formulated difference between the 2. Thanks heaps Benny [cool]
Hairy
Benny, I have read that the general rule of thumb is that you use 10% less pellets to whole flowers. So unless you are hopping the bejesus out of it, it probably won't make much of a difference. And congratulations on the free score [bandit]
