Rob (Guinness Man)
Hello all, Just wondering if anyone know the hops used in the can version of coopers IPA? Or is this like the colonel's secret recipe of seven herbs and spices? No-one knows. I guess there is something else to give it that soft after taste too. Thanks, Rob
Hairy
I think all kits are bittered with PoR. But the IPA has Styrian Goldings as an aroma hop.
Guest
lol the secret is obviously safe if you think there are only 7 secret herbs and spices [rightful]

Hairy
[biggrin] I just gave him the benefit of the doubt that he knew 4 of the herbs & spices and only the remaining 7 were secret.
Rob (Guinness Man)
I've been fooled all these years then. I always though the Colonel used 7 herbs and spices. LOL Thanks for the reply. I'll try and source some PoR over here. I'm using Northern Brew and Cascade at present but not convinced, its missing something, so wanted to try something else. Guest
POR is best as a bittering hop imo. I wouldn't expect to use it for flavor or aroma that's for sure.
DavidP30
The Colonel has you dudes bluffed out, it really comes down to his two secret salts and peppers. Also the eleven secret fats and oils.
Rob (Guinness Man)
:) Right can't source PoR over here :( Is there anything else that close to it? Thanks, Rob
Guest
Galena may do it. However, if you are only looking for a bittering hop then any other high AA% hop should be fine.
