benken25 Posted November 27, 2010 Share Posted November 27, 2010 i am looking to make a low carb mid strenght beer that i can drink heaps of in summer this is the recipe i was thinking of 1 can real ale 500g light dry malt 250g dried corn syrup 12g cascade hops steeped for 10 mins 12g cascade dry hopped after 3 days dry enzime supplied yeast has anyone done anything similar befor or what do u think[joyful] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PB2 Posted November 28, 2010 Share Posted November 28, 2010 Yep, if you plan to use enzyme don't add maltodextrin (aka dried corn syrup) and don't bottle into glass. The enzyme is not deactivated, even when you think the brew has finished fermenting in the tub, and may produce over-pressured bottles.
