Oliver
And me. I joined in a January, so I'm either getting a few months free, or being ripped off a couple of months. Not sure which!!!
PB2
We have the website geeks looking into it. Just skip through the renewal screen for now.
Barfly
Paul, while they're at it ...... why does my join date (and some other people as well) show up as 1 Jan 1970? Did I miss a step in the signup process, or is there another bug needs looking into?
Oliver
That problem is with the way the website is set up. If you're not interested in a geeky explanation about why the date defaults to January 1, 1970, stop reading now ... January 1, 1970, is the "Unix Epoch", which means that the Unix operating system times everything (in seconds!!!) in relation to that point in time. This forum is based around the scripting language PHP, which also uses the Unix Epoch. Because the website hasn't been (or wasn't?) set up properly to record the actual date that you joined, the "Joined date" defaults to January 1, 1970. Clear as mud? Barfly
Oh the joys of being married to a tech!! I'm just a dumb old dinosaur when it comes to this Personal Confuser thingy, but my wife is tech and has deciphered what you said into one sentence "Don't worry about it, there's nothing you can do to fix it". How'd she do??
