MikeS16 Posted February 22, 2013 Share Posted February 22, 2013 Hi guys. Quick one.. First Batch / Brew - Coopers Dark Ale - STD form the can - nothing extra added. Used Brew Enhance 2 - NO Sugar. SG - 1036 (seemed a little Low) SG at Day 6 1012. It was 1012 yesterday as well. Brew is 22c room is 20-21c. Should Was bubbling like made for 3 days... 1 in 30 secs yesterday. Today.. Bugger all?? Taste is a Little Bitter. Any suggestions - Leave it / Stir it up ?? Take gravity tomorrow? and if at 1012 bottle? if drops leave? Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Hairy Posted February 22, 2013 Share Posted February 22, 2013 Coopers dark ale with BE2 at 23 litres should finish around 1012. No need to stir, it is probably finished. Check it again tomorrow to make sure it is stable. If it is stable then you can bottle it if you want or leave it a few extra days to clean up a little. PB2 Posted February 22, 2013 Share Posted February 22, 2013 As I recall, you were planning to ferment this brew in an old Wander tub - they don't have much headspace above the 23 litre mark.
