ash
I put down a Morgans Royal Oak Amber Ale(I know this is a Coopers website but Coopers own Morgans) with a Coppertun 76. After 3 weeks i bottled it and left sit. Admit i cracked it a little early (16 days) but it was very Thick nearly like syrip. The beer worked there were bubbles not much of a head but still a head. I had put it in the freezer a while befor opening BUT IT WAS NOT FROZEN. Dont know what was wrong i hope its not the same for all the others.Oh and this is not Ash just his work cologue.[surprised
Hairy
What is in a Coppertun 76? What was the volume and what was the OG & FG? I am assuming the "Thick like syrup" is a slight hyperbole. BTW, welcome to the forum Ash's work colleague.

ash
Coppertun 76 is a blend of hops malt and dextrose(beer enhance)OG was 1046 and FG was 1010.Temp 22-24 It didnt appear to be thick at the time of bottleing as i allways sample a sip as i begin to bottle.Hyperbole it is not unfortunatly i wish it was. The whole mouth feel is wrong VERY THICK. I will have an other one tonight and am hoping it was a one off [sad]
Hairy
An FG of 1010 should give you a light to medium bodied beer. It shouldn't taste thick at all. I've got no idea. Just the usual response: Give it more time in the bottle and see if it improves.
