Soundawake
Hi Matt Which yeast are you using? Typically 18-20C (64-68F) is a good start for an ale, although it depends on the yeast you are using - refer to the yeast manufacturer's advice. Do not fret about the airlock... ignore it. Trust your hydrometer and also visual inspection on how its going. Also - congrats on making your first all grain brew!! I hope its the first of many. Canadian Eh!L
Hi Matt, Congratulations on the All Grain. Visual clues would be bits and pieces of "stuff" rising and falling, bubbles rising, etc. No offence meant, but your questions about signs and temperatures of fermentation sound a bit basic for an AG brewer![bandit]
MattC10
Chad, I've never been afraid to ask simple questions. Even to ask them multiple times. As I explore AG I'm sure I'll not only have MANY more, but will continue to receive answers from the GREAT PEOPLE whom I have so enjoyed meeting on this site. Canadian Eh!L
Matt, No problems here![biggrin] It just seems like an unusual question for an AG post. BTW, Where did your OP go?
Hairy
Yeah, where is the OP? I started reading this thread thinking WTF is Sondawake talking about? Anyway, well done Matt with the AG brew!
