PaulPablo
Hi to you all. Im a new Brewer from Cape Town,South Africa..Bought my Cooper kit and tought i'd start off with a Mexican Cerveza..When i was done i realized,i've used the brew Enhancer 1 I got with the kit with it.. So I have 2 questions: 1.Will it come out bad?(bottled it yesterday after 11 days fermentation) and 2.Can I use the BE2 with the Lager I got with the kit.. Many Thanks
Canadian Eh!L
Hi Paul, Welcome to the guild. I'm sure your cervasa will turn out just fine with the BE1. The Coopre's kit are fun to play around with different ingredients Have fun with the new hobby/habit.[biggrin]
Hairy
Welcome aboard! As Chad said it will be fine. And yes, you can use the BE2 for the lager kit.
PaulPablo
Anything you would suggest to add with Lager and BE2,maybe a hop tea of some kind..(any hop stands out with that Lager)Or would the the European Lager be a better bet.... Hairy
The original series lager comes with an ale yeast and the Euro lager comes with a lager yeast so it depends on whether you have temperature control. If brewing the OS Lager at ale temps then try something like cascade hops. Make a hop tea and also dry hop it. But any hop you like will do the job. The OS lager is bit of a blank canvas in that respect.
PaulPablo
Thanks for response and replies Still sort of winter here, room temp of 10-16 degrees Celcius..But prob wise to take baby steps and begin with easier kits and work my way up..Not like the kits are running anywhere[bandit]
AdamH1525226084
Welcome Paul The best thing and also the hardest thing about beer is that there are so many varieties and variations on every single beer. The best thing being you can make something ridiculous and good, the hard thing being you have to decide what to do[lol] The first time I made a beer with extra hops was this one. It was a great intro into changing the basic recipe on the can. Have fun [happy]
