BrewingBenny
Can anyone tell me PLEASE, I made my wort and put it into the fementer, 2hrs later I checked the brew and it looked like the lid was on crooked, I had put a new lid seal in and thought it may have slipped out the groove so I undone the lid to check it, it was fine, does this expose the wort to risk and should I be worried for the next 8hrs till I know it starts fermenting [crying]. GregT5
Chuck the lid and the airlock. I use the rubber seal to hold on a gladwrap seal. (at least I did till I got a new DIY fermenter) [biggrin]

Muddy Waters
Not you Benny, Peter just realised that there was a mention of an airlock and this usually sends me on a rant. I agree with Greg..... Chuck the lid and the airlock. I use the rubber seal to hold on a gladwrap seal. (at least I did till I got a new DIY fermenter)
