Movie Drinking Games

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I have recently started the site Movie Drinking Games and I would like to know if there are any movies out there that people have used for drinking games that work well, or is there any games you would like to see?

Sorry for the self-promoting Mods, I do feel this topic suits though. It would be great to receive some positive feedback. [happy] [happy]

While this doesn't seem very responsible...

Title: LordEoin's Burn!

Any older movie, where cue marks or 'cigarette burns' are not edited out, everyone apart from the person who first notices the cue mark and shouts 'BURN!' has to finish their drink.

It's easy to police too because, even if others don't see the burn, if he's right the scene will change about 5 seconds later.

Special penalty of choice applies to folks who call fake burns (eg shot of something nasty).

It rewards people who actually watch the movie instead of sitting around in their little covens yelling nonsense at each other...

on second thought, previous post removed because Andy's right.

drinking games are a stupid idea.

I don't really see the point in your site.

I seems like an idea that would make both the movie and the beer less enjoyable.

I think I'll stick with:

Take 1 gulp:

- Whenever you like

Drink half/full beer depending on how much you can drink:

- When you're very thirsty and the beer tastes amazing

Haha' date=' I can tell that you are fun to be around.[/quote']

From what I've seen so far, I think I'd enjoy a quiet beer with Andy more than watching a movie with you.

Haha, I can tell that you are fun to be around.

mate, drinking to get drunk is something that you do when you're 17 or 18.

and then you grow up, and you might choose to drink because you like the taste, or while you socialise, or just because you enjoy it.

case in point. when i was 17, i drank passion pop, goon bag, even hahn ice. whatever i could afford to get drunk.

10 years later i've matured a lot, and i drink beer because i enjoy it.

drinking games, where people drink to get drunk, are stupid, childish and immature.

i'd actually suggest that PB2 or any other mods here delete this crap thread.

I have to agree with Andy and LordEoin. While I do like getting properly hammered every now and then, I demand that I get to do it at my own pace. Drinking should never be a competition, otherwise it'll end with people puking, passing out or worse. I love being drunk, but I see no fun in puking in my own lap. Yeah, I've done that. [pinched] I was young and stupid and I didn't know my limits.

17? I think that is illegal.

Also, ok then, I guess you drink non-alcoholic beer then? I can probably guess that you don't.

Hey, I am not saying the whole point of drinking is to get wasted with friends EVERYTIME you drink. It is just drinking games can be fun where everyone gets drunk at the same time every now and then.

Yeah, I also agree, the whole passing out and puking is drinking to the extreme, drinking games are only fun when drinking within your own limits.

read what i wrote again, dickhead.

if you're unable to enjoy a couple of beers without it turning into drunkeness, it's time for you to quit drinking.

Haha, you resort to swearing because you got denied.

Again, take the alcohol away and would you still drink it?

Also, the same back at you with my own quote:

Wow, quoting yourself... I'm dubious about the reliability of the source.

What ever way you spin this thing, it is a bad idea.

You can stick all the disclaimers in the world on that site and it will still be abad idea.

I think that this is reflected in the amount ot facebook likes your site has. 5? really? Since September? lol..

A blind dog could get more likes.

take the alcohol away and would you still drink it?

Yes, when i'm driving I will sometimes have non-alcoholic beer because I like the taste of beer and like to have a pint glass in my hand in a bar.

I wouldnt play drinking games with non-alcoholic beer though, because that doesnt make it any less pointless.

Haha, you resort to swearing because you got denied

Haha, you resort to quoting yourself and making stupid arguments because you got denied! [biggrin]

This is a brewing forum, not a lets-get-drunk-quickly forum.

Maybe you would do better on a Jersey Shore forum somewhere.

It would be great to receive some positive feedback. [happy] [happy]

I have some positive feedback for you.

But to make it fair I will also give my constructive criticism.

Positive:

Nice background color.

Nice tabs, the animation is smooth.

It's easy on the eye if you dont try reading stuff.

THIS beer saving device is cool (but its not yours)

Negative:

general stuff

Text is too small

Text is too light

Logo doesnt make sense and is ugly

The vote has none of my favorite beers, very regional

You advertise a US site but you're UK based, that sucks for shipping and the economy

CONTENT- MOVIES, TV, VIDEOGAMES

For a movie drinking game site it has very few movies (18 in total :action6, comedy10, family2)

Family Movie Drinking games? What kind of caravan site did you grow up in?

Sitting around with the family watching the Smurfsand taking a gulp everytime

- When the word "smurf" is said (this rule alone is enough)

- When clumsy Smurf does something clumsy

- When Grouchy Smurf does something Grouchy

- When Gargamel fails at anything

The word 'smurf' is used about 200 times in the movie.

Do you really thinK that taking 200+ gulps of beer in 103 minutes is a good idea IN ANY SITUATION?

TV : One TV show drinking game, POKEMON! really? A kids cartoon?

VIDEOGAMES : retro 1, pc 1-mario and diablo. Did you get NINTENDO or BLIZZARD's permission?

This category is even more disappointing than the movie selection.

Dice GAMES: only one game and it looks really rubbish

By the way, dices is not a word. Dice is the plural.

BLOG

just plagiarized other people's work.

Be creative, think of your own stuff to post.

VISIBILITY

I Googled 'drinking games' and couldn't find your site

I googled 'movie drinking games' thinking maybe you found a niche, and couldn't find your site

I looked at some of the results and everyone of the other sites is better than yours

Your site has the least content and worst games of any of them

SUMMARY:

In my opinion, this site is terrible.

Not just because drinking games are stupid an irresponsible, but because it is a rubbish site with very little content.

It has little appeal in an already overcrowded market.

My recommendation:

Shut it down to stop wasting any more time and money on this dead end project

Go Back to College and do something else with your life.

I thought the whole concept was that the looser of said game took a drink, I remember a game I played in my youth called fuzzy duck, the looser in each turn had to take a drink.

Your games are mainly having a drink at certain points in a film or video game which I do anyway without your rules, so to me I fail to see the game part of your games.

When Im with a bunch of mates having a good drink we certainly aren't sat watching a film/cartoon/video game, to much fishing, footie and 4x4 talk going on.

Plus at least one of us has to turn the snags or they will flipping burn [pinched]

I love the way your site is winding up the locals here though [tongue]

Yo again!!!

I was quoting what I wrote previously without using the "quote" button.

At the end of the day people play drinking games, there is no harm in that and it is not illegal. Encouraging someone to down a bottle of Vodka maybe a bad idea, but drinking some beers isn't. Plus it is at peoples will.

Sites should not need disclaimers, it is just some people are stupid. E.g someone getting fat eating Mcdonalds and then trying to sue them.

Yeah. 5 is kind of not too good atm, I will let you watch as the site grows. Nice reference about the blind dog. I so wish he could get more likes, I would truly like to see that.

I bet you look rather cool in a bar with a pint pot in your hadn =]

I never said this forum was a "lets-get-drunk-quickly forum". Again drinking games don't happen every time someone wants a beer.

...2 small points I would like to make.

1. Besides the fact someone (or company) has to brew the beer consumed in these "games", how is this thread brewing related? There are other forums on this site for this discussion.

2. Would the contributors to this thread have this discussion face to face in the Cooper's family home?

Black in a standard background colour, so not really a positive comment.

Yeah....smoooooootthhh is how I role.

I never said the beer device was mine at all. The internet is FULL of negative comments and feedbacks towards products, people, etc, I did not slate the product. kind of you not liking my site.

general stuff

If I am correct the font is the same as this forums which makes your comment silly. The colour is back, another fail comment.

The voting is for people who drink popular beer, it is not aimed at homebrew type beer, etc.

The advertisements is not a priority atm, thanks though, something I was aware of however.

Man, don't be dissing my logo, I reckon you want a t-shirt printed out with in on. =]

CONTENT- MOVIES, TV, VIDEOGAMES

Yeah, the site is new, I am working on adding new movies.

Family Movie Drinking games? What kind of caravan site did you grow up in?

A really good caravan site =].

Again, the rules are not forcing people, they are rules that people can follow.

TV : One TV show drinking game, POKEMON! really? A kids cartoon?

"There is no correlation between restriction ages on cartoons/tv/movies and drinking."

VIDEOGAMES : retro 1, pc 1-mario and diablo. Did you get NINTENDO or BLIZZARD's permission?

No I didn't. The same reason anything ever to do with Nintendo never gets permission first. You never got my permission to post my content on this forum, but you have.

This category is even more disappointing than the movie selection.

Dice GAMES: only one game and it looks really rubbish

Totally aware, thanks anyway.

By the way, dices is not a word. Dice is the plural.

Thanks for the heads up on this misprint.

Not plagiarized, it talking about things that are related and that people may want to share.

Hey man, all drinking games are different. Sometimes the loser drinks, sometimes everyone drinks at the same time.

Yeah, the aim of movie drinking games is to get eveyone drunk at the same time while having fun.
