DylanI Posted April 7, 2012 Share Posted April 7, 2012 In a nutshell, European hops, e.g. saaz, hallertau, hersbrucker, etc... Remember though, wheat beers aren't hoppy or bitter. Guest Posted April 7, 2012 Share Posted April 7, 2012 Although hops arent meant to be a big thing in wheat beer if i ever brew one ill be adding some sort of aromatic hops to the brew to take that edge off the Wheaty yeast taste. jasond4 Posted April 7, 2012 Share Posted April 7, 2012 It doesn't really matter what hop you add to your wheat beer, just don't over do it. Add German/European hops for a more traditional style or add American hops/ US05 yeast for a "new world " take on the beer.
