Otto Von Blotto
This is what I'm currently drinking, Ashes Ale made to the recipe in the How to Brew section. It's only my second brew since I started brewing again, tastes similar to Pale Ale but a little different because of the added hops I'd guess. Pretty nice though, I was quite happy with how it turned out. Has anyone else made this recipe? [biggrin] Currently got a batch of English Bitter conditioning and also a SMOTY Ale in the fermenter, which was rather volcanic! I hope this photo isn't too large[unsure] but this is what my Ashes Ale looked like. Cheers, Kelsey
PhilboBaggins
Haven't made that one Kelsey, but the English Bitter is possibly my favourite kit. If you like the toucan SMOTY, why not give the ESV a go as well?
Otto Von Blotto
Is that Extra Strong Vintage ale? Sounds pretty good. I'm not sure what I'm gonna make next, there's so many choices. I'm thinking of going with a JS Amber Ale style next, found a few recipe suggestions for that one.
PhilboBaggins
Yeah, that's the one. Never made it myself but a bloke from work brought some in last week and it was killer. One stubby and I was a little nervous driving home. [innocent] Let us know how you go with the JS and the bitter!
Otto Von Blotto
[lol] Yeah it's about 7% or something according to the recipe. I'll no doubt give it a go at some point. The Bitter is about a week away from being ready to try, but I'll probably give it longer in the bottles before drinking the rest of it. But yeah will do!
