DaleD1
Never ever brewed Coopers Kits before (shame on you you say) Fancy Coopers Real Ale with brew enhancer 2...any comments please?
Canadian Eh!L
Hi Dale, Welcome to the Guild![wink] Go with a Toucan recipe using: 1 can of OS Real ale & 1 can Can. Blonde with a heap of late Cascade (or other citris hops). Let it age for 3 or 4 months. Very nice![cool]
Biermoasta
I would make it with 1kg light dry malt extract, and if you want to be a little fancy you could steep a teabag of goldings hops. Make it up to 23 litres and it should be a delicious beer.
MarkJ3
Welcome Dale, I've just finished Real Ale with BE2, it's great. I've dabbled with adding hops, etc as suggested, but I'm really slack and most of my brews are just the can, sugar or malt + yeast and water. The Coopers cans are good enough to not need extra's.[biggrin]
Guest
The Coopers cans are good enough to not need extra's.[biggrin] ...until you discover just what hops can really add to a brew... Im a covert to the Hop obsession though and I havnt put a "just kit" in for a LONG time now... in fact I just put up a recipe that has 70g of hop additions and while it's not going to be a recognisable coopers brew (a far cry from a just Canadian Blonde and BE) I'll wager it's going to be a danmn tasty drop and is sure to not last long at all [lol] gods it smelled nice in the boil [love] Yob [edit] and just to keep on topic... I would do the same to a real ale in a heart beat [cool]
