Hairy
I am sampling a soon to be released 2013 vintage ale right now [bandit] I was lucky enough to win a sample pack in a Coopers competition; thanks Coopers [biggrin] I really enjoyed the last few vintages and this one is very nice too. I am hopeless at describing beers but this one is quite hoppy with a firm bitterness and a warm alcohol taste. It is still a little young and needs some time for the flavours to really meld together. I may have to buy a dozen to age for a bit. My favourite of the more recent vintages was the 2011 and I don't think this is as nice. But perhaps my memory isn't as good as it used to be [innocent]
Sticky Wicket
Hairy, what competition did you go in to win this greatness? I bought a case of the 2012 and managed to save a dozen, probably ripe now I reckon. I did enjoy them as they were though![joyful]
Hairy
It was on the Coopers vintage ale website. You had to write something about something in 25 words or less. My words weren't very good so either my competition was poor or the judging was very lenient [biggrin] Either way I ended up with three vintage ales in a wooden box.
