RichardB14
I am thinking of making a mash tun and I have seen a 18 litre drink cooler at Bunnings that I think will do the trick. I am only looking to do 23 litre batches. Will this be big enough? If not which brand of esky/cooler would be the best and what capacity would be the best for the size batches that I want to do? Thanks.
Hairy
I'm not sure how much you want to spend but you can get a 36 litre cooler from BCF for $95. 36 Litre Cooler I guess with a smaller cooler you will have to do higher gravity worts and then dilute it to bring them up to 23 litres. But never having done AG before you should get a second opinion.[rightful]
Guest
+1 for that cooler and that's pretty cheap too. I know a few people who use the same cooler with no regrets. I'd also suggest getting a larger one than you actually need as you will likely find that in time you may want the extra. HERE is the same cooler and setup as a mash tun. If you have the money and don't want to stuff around then this is another option.
