Guest Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 Don't you mean Muddy [whistling This will be my last on this yeast though. I have heard of people going to 10-12 brews. I usually keep some extra from the 1st generation then start again with 5 brews then keep some of that 2nd generation down to 4 brews then from the 3rd generation down to 3 brews then 4th generation to 2 brews then 5th generation to 1 brew then start again. This way I get about 21 brews from the one yeast and yeah I know... I'm a tight arse [innocent] Hope that's not too confusing, basically I get no more than 6 generations from the yeast and yet to have an infection.... touch wood Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hoptimus Maximus Posted August 5, 2011 Share Posted August 5, 2011 Recently I was at Sierra Nevada brewery in Chico California and the brewer there told us that they use the same yeast for 15 fermentations.
