Muddy Waters
How many litres did you make it Jarrod?

Matty A
I would have thought that it would drop abit more to more like 1.015 but I am not 100% sure as I normally dont estimate FG. I would have also thought that the OG would have been a fairbit higher too.
Muddy Waters
The OG sounds about right to me I would've expected a couple of points higher but that is neither here nor there. I'd be looking for a FG of around 1012-1015.
Matty A
Atleast I was close to the FG. I don't make beer for the alcohol content so most of the time I don't even take an OG.
JarrodN
Would pitching another yeast sachet hurt? I have tried shaking the fv to re-suspend the yeast but did not work
PB2
What was the BB date on the can? Whats the temp of the brew? How long has it been in the FV? Are you planning to bottle into PET or keg?
JarrodN
The BB date was 2012 sometime, temp is 17C, in the FV for 8 days now and I keg and bottle the rest
PB2
The yeast should be okay. You might like to raise the temp to the low 20s, stir gently with a sanitised spoon and check the SG again in about 3 days.
JarrodN
I heated it up and stirred (with sanitized spoon) waited another 4 days but still didn't go down. I kegged it anyway lets hope the few bottles don't explode [crying]
Guest
If you are kegging then there isn't much of an issue. Best to use PET bottles for the few left over.
