weggl
Scored from a mate a waterbed heater pad has a probe to tape onto the side of the fermenter and a temp control box. He use to use it when he was making beer, said it worked perfectly. Settings from 20c to 30c. It is 40 cm high so it covers most of the fermenter height, I will use it in conjunction with a thermometer. Also 4 -GLASS HYDROMETERS. They should last me at least 6 months, by then the "PLASTIC HYDROMETERS" may be on the market.
Matty A
You should hook that heatpad up to a tempmate and a fridge. Then all you need to do is set and forget.
PB2
[rightful] Waterbed heaters should only be used as per the manufacturer's recommendations and instructions.[rightful] Weggl, I urge you to find a safer method for controlling the temperature of your brew. 91abv_chris
Brewbelts are pretty inexpensive and work well, from what I've read.

PB2
Water Bed heaters a great! Would not be able to sleep in my bed if it wasn't for the heaters...[love] However, they are designed for one purpose.
weggl
Don't worry Paul I'm an ex sparky, maybe not a very bright one![roll] I will control it from the pad inside the fermenter.[devil] Yea, I know Chris, but I like to make things work myself, keeps me off the streets![rightful]
