PatrickM1
I mixed everything on Sunday and so far no CO2 has been released should I put another packet of yeast in the container or is this batch toast?
GerardC2
What temp was the wort at when you put in the yeast and what temp has it been at since. I'm no expert but from what I have learnt so far you need to be between 21 to 27C pitching the yeast and keep the temp between this range for the fermentation to work. If the temp is to high it kills the yeast and if its to low the yeast wont work.
Muddy Waters
How do you know no CO2 has been released? Is there any foam or is there condensation on the lid? Has the gravity dropped.

weggl
Patrick, if your using an air lock, you may well have a leak in the lid seal. I have a Coopers fermenter that was a bugger to seal, but thanks to Muddy i went for Gladwrap. Now I can see whats going on.
PatrickM1
It was at 22C when I added the yeast, now at 24-26C, I re-read the instruction and it suggested to throw another packet of yeast into the wort, which I did last night. There is condensation and the gravity has dropped, does adding the addition yeast screw up the beer/taste?
PB2
If the yeast from the first yeast sachet was in good health and fermenting the brew, the second sachet of yeast will have little effect.
