johng12
Take your time, dont forget if you are brewing to 23 litres you are getting more than 2 slabs of beer. Then your saving a fair bit of cash. Id be leaving it to the 14-16th, i have even left a brew for 4 weeks thats rare though. What were your malts/sugars in the brew? weggl
Thank John, My impatience is caused by my wanting to use the fermenter.I have 3 going at the moment and am wanting to make a Smoty Ale. Muddy reckons its ok.[annoyed] Warren
Muddy Waters
I hope you'll have the patience to age the smoty if you make it Warren. Sounds like you need another fermentor - you can grab them for under $15 at bunnings (Belrose - not at the Mall).
weggl
Muddy, I went to Belrose Tue after ringing them and they assured me they had them, drove all the @xx**@! there, guess what? None, usless bastards.[annoyed]
Muddy Waters
Are you sure? They are a bit hard to find. They had plenty on Sunday arvo. They are down towards the plant end - I think the first aisle back from the plants???
Matty A
I ended up picking one up from the Bunnings close to where I like. They also sold some lever style taps, so this fermenter isn't going to have any problems with spinning taps around
weggl
Muddy, yea thats where i was, met the lady who does the stock (not very well) she said they must have sold out. When i rang they put me through to some bloke who said they had some for $23 and $20, I was there within 1/2 hour of calling. must be a lot of brewers up that way. Finished up with a 20L jerry can for $23 to use for G/Beer. I neened a 25L to tranfer the beer into to do your Dex priming. Got 4 going at the moment including the G/Beer so i'm short 1 fermenter.[crying] Warren
