andrewr10
Hi, I recently did my first batch of coopers and it is tasting pretty damn good. I'm just wondering because i've thrown away the can, is it preservative free? I get a dizzy reaction to preservatives and i got that a bit the other night, hence the question. Does anybody know? Biermoasta
I would say yes it does have preservatives, in the form of hops as I think hops acts as a natural preservative. But no I'm pretty sure it contains no artificial preservatives as the ingredients are listed as Water, Hops, Malted Barley and yeast. Maybe the dizziness was from the alcohol [bandit] [biggrin]

weggl
Coopers only make you dizzy after 6 longnecks. So keep under 5 at a time and you will be ok. Very useful info.[crying] Warren
PB2
What Biermoasta said... Apart from hop compounds in your finished beer, other preserving elements are ethanol, yeast and some sulphur compounds (produced by the yeast).
