Muddy Waters
I'd swap the 1kg of sugar for 1kg of malt for starters - maybe with 250g of dex. I'd be looking at adding some hops - not sure if you want to go down that road yet. I don't really know anything about the basic Australian lager kit so I'm not really sure what it will need to take it from drinkable to fantastic. Are we talking the Coopers original series lager? DaleB
Ive been thinking also of adding some malt to a Pale Ale, but just not sure what results it would yeild
PB2
500g of Light Dry Malt can be added to any of our beer kits with good results. As a substitute for other sugars or in addition.[wink]
MarkJ3
I've brewed my last couple of brew's (Coopers euro lager and english bitter) with 500gms of Coopers light dry malt, they turn out very nice. Alcohol content drops to around 3.8% so you can enjoy a couple extra or add some dextrose to boost the alcohol.
Muddy Waters
I find using only 500g LDM isn't enough - maybe I need to wean myself of the 5.5% beers [biggrin]
