Roger Hull
I asked at my local home brew store why the Coopers bottles in the UK were now 500 ml. I was told that the bottles are sourced locally by the Coopers agent in the UK. However' date=' there are still some shops that still have supplies of the 740 ml bottles but only as part of the Coopers Microbrew Kit. Well I always needed another FV, spoon and hydrometer. [wink'] Looks like I won't be getting any new 740 ml bottles, All the stores I have emailed only have the new 500 ml bottles even though they are still advertising the 740 ml bottles. Roger Hull
It begs the question if they are selling 500ml bottles do they also sell appropriately sized carb drops? It seems a bit stupid not to. The carb drops are still the same. The advice is to use one or one and a half carb drops in the 500 ml bottles. I assume that the agent cannot source 740-750 ml bottles in the UK but they are too expensive to import.
Muddy Waters
Bulk priming would be much easier than cutting carb drops. Although I have heard of people doing it but it sounds like to much effort to me (and a greater risk of infection).
PB2
I'm working on the development of a miniature, battery powered, band saw for cutting carb drops. [whistling
Muddy Waters
I look forward to seeing them in the supermarket Paul. I find it really hard using a chainsaw. The chopping board and Chinese butcher knife method was also unsuccessful. [sideways]
