MichaelD16
hi all quick question bout bottle conditioning all the info i can find on it is that you should keep the bottles above 18 degrees for at least a couple of weeks. Im new to homebrewing and have put down 3 brews so far (can feel an obsession brewing) and have a perfect kitchen cupboard with halogen downlights installed in the botttom of them to light the bench which keeps the cupboard nice and warm just wondering can the bottles get to hot and spoil the homebrew? cheers michael
Andris
can you stick a thermometer in there just to check how hot "too hot" is? :-) those halogens produce mighty amount of heat...
Muddy Waters
At a guess I think they'd be alright. Personally I'd be moving them somewhere cooler at the 2-3 week mark once they are carbonated.
PB2
Over 37.5C and lager yeast will perish. Also, bottles are pressure vessels - pressure increases proportionally with temperature - BANG!

Andris
That's some flux in temps! I would be very wary if I had to store there my brew. any alternatives?

PB2
At that temperature, 7 days should be sufficient.
