Has anyone made this and could give me any tips I may need which are counter to or extra to the instructions ... looks like a fairly simple brew to do for my 1st effort away from kits ... Silverthorn Posted February 2, 2019 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Made a 3x everything batch of this to 25ltrs and added a teaspoon of Vanilla and 2 cans of Passion Fruit Pulp as per the Pavlova recipe and my Wife fell in love with me all over again!! The Captain!! Posted February 2, 2019 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Hey Marty, i personally find belle yeast quite funky. Especially if it’s brewed at warm temps. I really don’t know how to discribe the funk, and I’m sure if the beer world could come up with a better discriptor we would all be better off. Popo the Reprobate Posted February 3, 2019 Share Posted February 3, 2019 It's a hard one to describe for sure. Funky seems to be the most appropriate word. I couldn't imagine what was meant by funky flavour until I tasted it. Kinda made sense once I did. I'm not really a fan of it on it's own. It's a bit too much but I don't mind it with a bit of hop flavour in there too. I made the boerderij. My megaswill mates wouldn't go near it haha.
