Tricky
Perhaps I'm a bit naive, but could somebody explain what this Ad for Coopers 2.9% means?? http://www.funnyplace.org/show.php?id=7585
PB2
What the... Can't see how it is anythng to do with us. As if we would sanction an advert' for a bright beer with most of the text talking about the sediment in bottle conditioned ales - no logic there

Tricky
:? :?: :? Well that has really confused me now. Still they say 'Any Publicity Is Good Publicity'
Philby
OK, thinking laterally, which is not something one normally does with a full strength beer, I suspect the logic goes that with a 2.9% beer, the cute sheila (or whatever they call them in Singapore) with the buxom breasts still looks the same after a few beers, rather than being seen through those one size fits all beer goggles, where perception and reality swirl together as one..... But hey, what would I know - maybe Coopers Oz should consider it
Kelly
Hi Tricky, generally speaking "any publicity is good publicity" however in this particluar case these adverts have attracted a fair bit of negative feedback as they can be seen as being sexist and discriminatory to women. As a part of a development program the agency in Singapore run they produced these adverts which Coopers were not aware had been produced. They then entered them into the Cannes awards and it was when we received some complaints about them, that we became aware they existed! hopefully this makes a bit more sense Cheers Kelly
