kieran
Hi guys, I'm off to Seattle next wednesday, and want to try a few decent american Ales. I've heard that Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is something I should really try, anyone got any other suggestions? (and please, no suggestings like bud/miller etc.. they're just the equivalent of west end draught or VB - megaswill). cheers, k
PB2
Samuel Adams beers are worth a look. I know it's the other side of the USA but one would think that a variety of their products (more than just Boston Lager) would be available on the East Coast?? kieran
Cheers PB, I was actually thinking about them after I sent the email.. There's another good one too, but I cannot remember its name. I'll have to check through my Papazian books to see if any are mentioned in there. JohnV3
Just got back from 9 years in the US....too many to chose. Victory (PA) make an awesome IPA - HopDevil - they also have one with wild yeast - Wilddevil. Saranac (NY) puts out a bunch of great beers and one must definitely try the Sierra Nevada. Also worth a stron mention is Liberty Anchor Steam Ale (CA) and DogFish Head (DE) 60/90 minutes IPAs. LAst but not least, Magic Hat (VT) create some fun stuff....
