SteveL
Had a schooner last night, loved it. Kind of reminded me of a Smoty but with more hop flavour and big choc grain tones. Anyone else tried it? Can't find much info other than this: From the ratebeer website: COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION A keg only limited release, this Hoppy Brown Ale has rich chocolate and caramel, combined with tropical fruit and vanilla-pine derived from Simcoe and newcomers El Dorado and Zythos hops. Beerlust
Hi SteveL. It sounds like a really nice drop. A shame that they don't put any time into mentioning these "experimental brews" on their own website to drum up some interest in these beers to the general public. The McLaren Vale Beer Company I'll keep a look out for it. Cheers & good brewing, Anthony.
SteveL
Agreed Anthony...you'd think their website would at least mention it! Was a full-flavoured drop for sure, and 6.5%... Haven't used El Dorado and Zythos but can feel another experiment coming on... Cheers
