Andy New Brewer
Hi all, Can any body tell me where i can easily get a supply eg. 2 ctns of pale ale or similar stubbies, empty ones of course. Cause i used some victorian beer bottles that were bloody useless and have found coopers stubbies to be the best. Cheers Andy :D
The Brew Master
Hi Andy, What a great excuse to buy 2 cartons of Pale Ale, drink the contents and presto you have your empty stubbies. Cheers, Peter
Big Mal
I tend to agree strongly with peter on this one. [/b]ANY excuse to grab a slab of Cooper's anything is a good one. Cheers, Mal :P
kieran
just be careful of the coopers stubbies, as they're as useless as the vic ones these days.. they are a lot thinner than they once were, so are conducive to cracking. I cracked a hell of a lot before I moved to the wonderful world of PET (and now Kegs). The longnecks are your friends though, Coopers - in their infinite wisdom, have gone back in the last 12 months (or less) to using a thicker 'home brew friendly' grade glass for their longies. So long necks of Sparkling Ale, Stout or Pale will be great workhorses for your crown sealing pleasure. Kieran
Timmsy
I brought a whole heap of long necks from my bottle depot for $3 a dozen. Last time i went there i got 10 doz pick axes for $30. Needed to give them a good scrub but thay turned out real good. So maybe ring up a couple bottle depots and see what thay have
