Summy Posted September 27, 2013 Share Posted September 27, 2013 Made a double batch of this a couple of weeks ago, it's in the cubes and I'm salivating just thinking about it. Upon cubing it tasted amazing. I did a partial mash using Coopers' LME cans so it ends up darker than intended, which is already quite dark for the style but I'm not too fussed about a couple of shades of darkness. I did a BIAB and batch sparge. OG was perfect. Based on a 23L batch Fermentables 3 x 1.5Kg Coopers LME 2.35Kg Pale Malt (2 Row) 300g Crystal (120L) 250g Crystal (60L) 150g Carapils 150g Chocolate malt Hop Shedule 20g Chinook @60 minutes 15g Centennial @45 minutes 30g Centennial @30 minutes 25g Cascade @5 minutes 30g Cascade Dry Hop (Day 3) 30g Centennial Dry Hop (Day 3) 30g Chinook Dry Hop (Day 3) Safale 05 Yeast 1 Whirlfloc tablet @15 minutes 65 IBU 1064 OG 1016 FG 6.3% ABV Enjoy! [lol] Except for the LME, but I do have plenty of pale malt, and this recipe will give me an excuse to use up the last of my Barrett Burston malt, or at least a fair chunk of what's left.
