I went to the how to brew section the recipe there had golden syrup the recipe I used had two types of grain I had to crush and soak in hot water Irish Red Ale I hope that helps. Cheers, Anthony. The recipe link I provided for you uses 100gms of crystal malt & 50gms of roasted barley. No golden syrup.
