Top of the mornin' to ya Graemed5!

 

It just so happens, Coopers have a recipe for that style in the "How to Brew" section of this website.

Thank you Anthony, and the rest of the afternoon to your self.

I went to the how to brew section the recipe there had golden syrup the recipe I used had two types of grain I had to crush and soak in hot water

Irish Red Ale

Hi again Graemed5.

 

I believe you are looking at the recipe for "Irish Ale" that uses the Golden syrup.

 

The recipe link I provided for you uses 100gms of crystal malt & 50gms of roasted barley. No golden syrup.
