so i keep reading about people doing toucans lately so i thought i might give one a shot, i just wanted to run it by you guys to make sure im not going to make something that tastes terrible.

so im thinking

1 x coopers APA

1 X coopers canadian blonde

300g dex

200g crystal malt

25g nelson sauven 2 minute boil

1L starter of rinsed US-05

so what do ya recon? and also what kind of alchohol content would that be? and will that yeast be ok or should i make a bigger starter?

Should be quite nice Mike. [happy]

If you have any Cascade or Centennial in the freezer you may want to couple them with the NS to stop it from dominating, but depends on your tastes.

I may be putting a big ol' 'kick me' sign on my arse, but I have only ever used 1L starters for my ales, no matter what the gravity, and they have always been absolute MONSTERS! [devil]
