Dutchmen
Hi all I want to place a stout down aiming towards a Extra Stout. For a 46L brew was going to use 3 tins of Coopers Irish stout, and 1Kg of dark spray malt and 250g dried corn syrup any suggestions to create a heavy % very black stout[bandit]
jasond4
You could try adding some dark brown sugar. For 46L I guess 1Kg is enough. I like to use this sugar and its the only time I use sugar, because I find it gives the stout a sticky feel and a port like alcohol kick. Hope that helps? Damien E1
If you're trying to make it in the style of coopers best extra stout you're better off using the original series stout kit, rather than the irish stout.
