Matty A
I would first brew it to recipe and then tweak it if you like. I am yet to brew a pilsner it is on the list behind a few other brews but from what I have heard it is a good brew.

Matty A
If adding hops I have heard of some people using saaz but since I haven't made the kit yet I can't really commenton if it would be nice for me. Maybe follow PB2s recipe and go the Pilsner kit, 1KG of LDM in 20L of water. Remember to brew it around 10C
Guest
I would try staying with the style and probably use the Hallertauer which go well with Pilsners.
BakersAle
what temp should i pitch yeast at 21-24oC and then let it drop by itself or should i pitch it about 18oC as matty said let it brew around 10oC as i been told let it sit in the fermentor for 2-3weeks
BakersAle
[biggrin] should read 10 degrees
Matty A
Pitch the yeast somewhere between 18C and 21C (This is to allow them to reproduce quickly and build there numbers alot faster). After you have done that let it drop to around 10C (my lager at the moment is at 11C) within the 24 hour mark and let it ferment away as normal. It might take a little longer to ferment as well. Agreed, or if you're open to another hop I'd look at Saaz, there's a reason they use it in Plzen!
