ExpatSthAussie
Hi all, I just put down a TC Authentic IPA as per Guild recipe -20L ,except I went with US-05 instead of kit yeast. Have a spare 30g Amarillo in the fridge, would it be over kill if I dry hopped? I'm looking for a nice strong bitter kick without all the fruity afters[devil]
Hairy
Dry hopping won't impart any bitterness and is an aroma addition (with a little flavour). Dry hopping with Amarillo will actually give you a little fruitiness but I think it will be a nice touch. If you want to add more bitterness then you will have to boil the hops. When did you put it down? You could always do a mini boil in some wort for 30 minutes, chill it down and add it to the FV.

Hairy
Thanks Hairy, I put it down last Sunday arv, I will give the mini boil a go. 500ml - 1L ? I would start with 1 litre. You will lose some liquid in the boil. I have never done this before, hopefully it works [innocent] [biggrin]
