Khellendros13
Hey guys, Just an update on the Vanilla Cream Ale I put down on the 6th Jan. Sitting at 1005 SG which will give it 5.6% ABV after conditioning if it doesn't drop further. I managed to keep it between 18-21c with wet towels. So far the aroma is quite nice, rich, can smell the vanilla and hints of banana...like they are intertwined. Taste is definitely creamy (big difference between this and the kit lager I brewed first) with fruity bitterness and the vanilla and banana coming through. Aftertaste has me wanting more. All up I am happy with it so far and pics below. Will be bottling tomorrow provided SG hasn't moved. The Mexican Cerveza is at similar SG too so almost ready. Oh, should I be moving to bulk priming? I assume the carb drops are not all 100% equal and that could have some effect on carbonation levels? Next 2 brews will be Fruit Salad Ale as recommended by multiple people here, and I would like to try an IPA as I rather liked the JS Stow Away IPA I had last night. Muddy Waters
Hi mate - If you're after a great IPA I'd recommend giving PB2's Motueka Slam a shot. Easy to make and tastes great [cool]
