Mikes15
So, put a barrel of IPA on last friday with amber malt & no sugar but yet to see the bugger even give one bubble. Question is is it even worth putting this in the bottles, not tested the gravity yet but no expecting it to be good. Done a few brews now and no probs before, same equipment, same temps, same same, dont know why just want to know if I should bang on or poor away an start again? PhilboBaggins
Welcome Mike! By 'bubble' do you mean airlock activity? On your next brew, chuck the damn thing in the bin. [biggrin] If you don't have a good seal around the lid or the grommet, that will explain the lack of bubbling, even if the brew is going fine. Trust the hydrometer. Take a sample. If it is sitting around 1.011 or thereabouts it's definitely been going. Let us know what your reading is, and best of luck!
