Canadian Eh!L Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 Some beers are ready to quaff sooner then others. A Mild ale, or a Draught style ale can be consumed early (1 month). A pale ale should be given a little more time (1-3 months). A lager should wait (4-6 months). A porter or stout (6-12 months). Barely Wine (1 year+). When I bottle I use 750ml Bottles, but also bottle several stubbies so I can test the beer without opening a whole longneck. most beers will improve over time, but ultimately its up to your taste! Mainiac Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 I did a Stout month ago and tried a bottle after weeks and I thought it had promise. Tried one after one month and LOVED it. LeonardC2 Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 In my experiences,the average gravity ale is best at 4 weeks in the bottle conditioned between 18-22C (68-70F).
