BillO
Hi all, I recently started using Beersmith and noticed I couldn't add Coopers kits as an ingredient. After some searching I found an addon over at AHB that included the kits. When I tried using them however I noticed the IBU's were about 3x more than I expected. I had previously been using the spreadsheet by IanH and have now adjusted the Coopers Kits to more accurately match that data. I have also added all the Coopers kits currently available (that I know of) except the Ginger Beer. If anyone would like them, I have put them up on my Google Drive. Download here Enjoy! Guest
Give Ianh feedback in the thread at AHB and I am sure he will gladly accommodate the need. If he doesn't know then he can't improve it.
BillO
I'm not sure who the author of the original Coopers Kit stuff for beersmith was. It's IanH's data I used to "fix" them. I'm operating under the assumption his data was good (I've never found reason to fault it) [biggrin]

Mainiac
sorry of the hijack I started using BS this week and could not see how to reuse a recipe I already have. I wanted to keep the original dates of the first brew and add new dates this would organize how often I made the same brew. Any suggestions? BillO
Hey Mainiac I'm by no means a Beersmith expert, but I'm not sure you can use it to track how often a brew is made. Not without creating a new recipe for each brew session anyway.
Mainiac
I don't like that so much. It would be nice to be able to change the dates and such. it says to bottle in 2 weeks for example it would be nice to put the actual bottle date in. BillO
You can also create a custom fermentation profile so that the bottling day matches what you actually do.
Gash Slugg
There is two (at least) coopers add ons for Beersmith at AHB , I found one of them was accurate and the other was as you described. I'll have a quick look again, if anyone is interested.

I'm pretty sure when you enter your FG it enters that date as the bottling date.
NewtownClown
Good work, BillO. This is better than the other two incarnations.
