miket6
what if you were to try to store it over a period of weeks????
GrahamB8
i leave my pre-crushed malt in the freezer as I buy a couple of recipies at a time to cut down on delivery costs. Crushed grain should be fine for a couple of weeks in a cool dark place

To a large degree, your location is the important thing.. If you are in Melbourne with a dry climate then you can just leave on the counter for a length of time (Clearly though a storage container is ideal), however, if you were in Darwin where it is quite humid you would not as it would go slack quite quickly... Better? [lol] [roll] [rightful]

Guest
I have got around 200kg of all sorts of grain stored in plastic bins in the garage. I expect it will be there for at least 6-12 months before I get to use most of it and I am certain I won't have any problems whatsoever. The counter is fine in your case. Hops = freezer Yeast = fridge (unless treated then freezer is ok) Grain = sealed in a dry area. (preferably not hot)
