Matty A Posted July 18, 2012 Share Posted July 18, 2012 The coopers kit yeast is a mixture of Ale and Lager yeast which is good when the brew falls in temperature. I am a little unsure of the question considering they are using 2 different yeasts in 2 separate beers. To me it seems as if the US-05 attenuated more then the coopers yeast did. The coopers yeast is a little more forgiving at higher temperatures but that doesn't mean it prefers them. Edit: Nevermind I caught up, pushing the temperature up causes the yeast to do more work before they go to sleep. Saying that if you push the temperature up a little bit, the yeast will do more work before they fall out of the solution. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
