LordEoin
Your beer would appreciate a litle longer in the FV, maybe 2 weeks. But what do you mean by ' I always seem to loose 4/5 within 5 days' and 'Reading at .99;75% Coopers No1 sugar'?
DougA1
Lord Eion, thankyou.Yes once I have bottled I can loose 4 to 5 bottles from pressure on the cap.I use a hydrometer and I bottle at a reading of .990.I use Coopers Enhancer No1 but cut back to 75% rather than the full 1000 mls.Tempratures around 18 to 26 Degs. Wayne (Captain Yobbo)
0.990 could mean an infection when I did the lager it was like 1007 FG reading temps are a bit high try to ferment around 18 - 20 degree's and leaving it in the fermenter for 2 weeks will give you a better quality beer
Guest
check your hydrometer reads 1.000 in water at 20'c (or whatever is the calibration temp, should be written on it) doesnt sound right, the reading or the losing bottles bit, Yob
