That English Bitter

*****

Recommended Posts

What a lovely aroma [love] emanating from this can as I opened it in constructing my EB Porter. So pleasant that I am changing my Brew Plan to accommodate a straight English Best Bitter next brew. I used 2 x 7g of S-04 yeast in my Porter and I will also attempt to rinse this yeast for pitching in my Bitter Ale. I will be aiming for a mid strength suitable for kegging and will be going without additional hops again.

The EB is a great kit and uses Styrian Goldings as the aroma hop.

I just made a batch with additional Styrian Goldings and it tasted and smelt great at bottling. Now the waiting game begins.

Let us know how the porter turns out.

I couldnt agree more about the lovely aroma[love] I put down the extra smooth bitter 3 days ago and was stuck with the great hoppy aroma upon opening the EB can. Might even dry hop with some EKG hops from the fridge but I might leave it alone, not sure. Definitely the best smelling brew that I have done to date though.

It's only the 6th day in the FV, the SG is at 1.019 so has a little way to go but the tasting [love] .

Hopefully it only gets better from here [joyful] .
