c9859
I have come across a database program 'Brewlog' and it seems to be quite good. It will save me listing my brew information on my spreadsheet. However, one thing has me tossed. Brewlog requires that you list the length of time that the secondary fermentation. Could some kind person please tell me how this assertained. Once the bottles are primed I store the brew, and the next time I handle it I drink it. PB2
I've been using the BrewLog for trial brews at work and have found that it is very user friendly. Haven't been able to work out the "Secondary" either...I know that the length of "Primary" automatically calculates the bottling day but the "Secondary" doesn't seem to affect anything - thought it may determine the "Min Use by" date, but No! c9859
Hi Paul Yes it seems an odd statistic to record, and as far as I can see it has no bearing on the ultimate result. I thing I will just leave that item blank. Cheers...Ted
Kai
I assume the software is written for brewing methods that have a secondary fermentation in a different vessel.
c9859
Thats probably the explanation Kai, although I still don't see the point in it. Cheers...Ted
