JamesT18
Hello everyone I just have a quick question about the number of drops to use for different sizes of bottles. I know the dose for priming the bottles is 1 for (375-500) and 2 for (740-750) however i have 24 PET litre bottles for my Mexican cerveza(due to be ready in a few days). How many drops would you recommend? Thanks for any help!
AdamH1525226084
Hi James. The recipe for Aztec Gold (is this the recipe you're using?) says 8g per litre. The carb drops are 3g each. So you can either go 2 (6g = less fizzy) or 3 (9g = more fizzy) depends how fizzy you like it. Or you can measure 8g of sugar per bottle - that's not in my league yet, I've only used the drops so far.
Guest
Personally I would Bulk Prime and get exactly what I want in each bottle. Otherwise I would either measure the required sugar to each bottle or go for no more than 3 carb drops per litre.
JamesT18
It’s just the cooper Mexican ceravaz kit with brew enhancer 2. It’s going well so far. This is only my second batch and I’ve only used the drops so far so I will probably just use 3 drops per bottle.
Guest
bulk priming for sure... Ive only ever once put undiluted dex into a bottle and the bloody thing foamed all over the place, it was a bottle the lid didn't seal properly and I didn't want to throw it away... hence I guess why they make the drops and why bulk priming rocks.
