DeeMac
I left my Thomas Coopers Brewmaster Selection IPA in the fermenter for 14 days at roughly 22C (last day and half dropped down to 18C). I bottled one week ago and left at 18C. I tested a bottle today. No yeast on bottom and almost no carbonation. Also, taste is on the sweet side. I didn't disturb yeast that had fallen to bottom of fermenter when I bottled (using carbonation drops). Do I just need to wait another 7 days or is it possible most of yeast dropped out in fermation and there is nothing left for secondary?
AdamH1525226084
The Yoda's will answer better than me, but the brews I've done so far were similar - leave it another week and the bubbles will come. I bottled an IPA (but with Dark Malt) last week and I am going to leave for a month before I try it [crying]
Guest
What was the Gravity at when you bottled? Leave them for minimum 2 weeks before you worry about carbonation. 2 months is a mimimum time in my brewery before I even test one.
Guest
Relax and try again in another week or two. The longer you leave it the better it will be. Within reason of course [joyful]
