Cuchuliann
Hi all I'm a fairly recent home brewer and have had some stunning successes and the odd disaster. I have pretty much stuck to the script with my brews but i'd like to practice a little experimentation. I want to understand beer science a bit better - anyone know of a good book or guide on this?? Guest
If you want to know a bit about the science behind things, I can strongly recommend the book "Yeast" by Chris White. It tells you almost everything you'd want to know about yeast and more. People underestimate what yeast actually does.... get the book and read it and I guarantee you will be well rewarded. jasond4
I find reading the magazine BYO..Brew your own.,a good read if you want to understand the techniques that can be used in all forms of brewing. They also have a good useful site of the same name that has helpful info there as well. The mag. is from the U.S. and costs A$6.95. Good read highly recommend it.
